Butter Pound Cake
2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup of crisco
5 eggs
3 cups of sugar
3 cups of flour
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 teas. of extract (what ever flavor you like)
Grease and floor tube pan. Cream butter and crisco until light and fluffy, beat in one egg at a time, then add the sugar and beat (a little at a time) and until well mixed. Add flour and milk alternately and beat well. Once all of this is mixed, add your extract.
Spoon batter into the tube pan....and place in a cold oven. Cook at 325 degrees for about 1 1/2 hour, or until tooth pick comes out clean.
