| What a lovely color Sharon.......Isn't it fun to be shooting flowers? Here it is much nicer to be inside shooting than outside! | |

| thanks Tracy, yes it's an unusual colour actually more of an orange but i thought they were nice. definitely better shooting indoors than out here too, it's gone wild again here with gale force winds and lashing rain | |

| Wow a beautiful rose Sharon, did it smell as good as it looks. I love the reflection, but if it were mine i would clone out or crop off the bottom separate section of the reflection. Lovely image tho |

| thanks Jan & Terri, Jan they smell lovely, i only left that part of the reflection in cos it looked like the reflection was a painting and the colour had run, would be easy to crop that part out though if i wanted to enter it in a comp or anything Terri it was the colour that made me choose those ones it was so different | |

| Nice shot, with the reflection. I would however, increase the white levels just to pop out the color and bring up some contrast. | |

| thanks Robin, i did try that when it was in ps but the center petals went really white and it didn't look good, maybe i went too far or should try a curves adjustment? | |

| Try your center gray slider and see if you get a better result than the white. | |

| i tried that Robin but it seemed to bring a lot of noise with it what do you think? i also brought the black slider down a bit to compensate as the background went very light | |

| A lovely shot to start with, but I had to have a look myself, Sharon - this is shifting the levels to 15, .90 & 249, with a 15% saturation boost, and -15% to the yellows, and a very minute amount of sharpening to the strongest edges only - if you try these settings you'll see how it really saturates your black background, and pushes the colour right up, even before the 15% boost to saturation... |

| i like Stuart thanks, i think i may try shooting this one again though and try to get the settings and light right this time, it wasn't the best one of the bunch and it's dead now but the others are just starting to open so they should make some nice shots | |
