This pic is a little blurry, but I thought it was so beautiful I would share it anyway.

Jan - Our mutual love of Roses led me to wondering what was possible with this shot - you say its blurred but (to me) only the edges of the flower show real blur. I hope you don't mind but I took a 2 minute 'play' with it . To me the centre of the rose is simply wonderful - so a heavy crop and a bit of extra sharpening plus a tad extra saturation and - "hey Presto" .................

i agree with John, it only seems to be the outside edges that are blurred, good rework John Very Happy

John you have done a wonderful job! It looks great, but it was the centre I thought was very unsharp. I was aiming for knife sharp centre petals.

I have done it before with my S2 IS.

I notice you upped the saturation a little also.
Cheers mate, never be afraid to play with any of my pics, it helps us all to see someone else's vision.

Thanks to you too Sharon.

Mmmmmmmm - what lens did you use Jan - and was a tripod used or a very fast shutter speed if no tripod?
Both would have helped the razor sharp image you sought.

Your previous camera had I.S. so it could (from here anyway) be a case of camera shake you are seeing. I certainly upped the sharpness until the picture started to break up.

Coming back to this picture, it's a classic rose that would handle a total change of Hue - maybe worth an experiment..........??

Best wishes from the UK (sun at last!!!) ~ John Very Happy
