Okay Sharon, which one in this group has the noise, #2 &#3 were taken in the bright early morning sunlight.

they all have to a certain degree Jan but i see it more in the first and third shots

These are excellent !! Great color, crisp and clear. I'm not seeing any noise/softness in these.

Jan that seed pod is awesome...so crisp and sharp! Loving that new camera?? Wait til it comes to you natural like a right arm!

Thank to you all for your comments. I am very slow trying to get the settings in to the brain. lol I am loving the camera.

That's the noise from 400 ISO - a quick run through digital gem will clean that right up and leave everything sharp still... unfortunately the 100mm f/2.8, having such a shallow DOF as a macro lens, does tend to show the noise more when you up the ISO from 100 - probably because it's so sharp and crisp... *very* easy to fix with the right plugin though...
