Stuart you are incorrigible!

A very nice shot Jono, it's not easy with the sun coming through the tree, but I have no idea what it is.

Hi,
This was taken at my mum's house in the New Forest (UK).
Gear was Canon EOS 20D 70-300 IS at 5.6 1/40 sec.
I was able to get quite close.
cheers

Jono

I recon you are right, I think he is a young one. This might be why I was able to get so close.

There is a big difference in between photographing birds in the wild and/or in captivity. I always score extra credit for the in wild ones, even if their quality is not 100%.
