| This was the original location of Loch Doon castle, on an island in the middle of the loch, the loch waters rose when they made it into a reservoir and the castle was mostly below water so the moved as much of the original stonework to dry land, this is all that is left of the original castle | |

| OH Ok. I just finished watching "The Tudors" on showtime, what a great time period, the castles, the clothes and the people. It's great to see where a lot of the stuff is in the real world. | |
