Mt Hurtle Winery

I am still learning my way around the district

The Mt Hurtle Winery is just up the road, about a mile and a half I guess.
I think we need to take time to have a bit of a taste.


The little lake as you enter, ducks and all, but it was too late afternoon to catch them hiding in the shade


First vines just by the roadside. The large gum trees are on the side of the road, must be at least 250 years old.


The driveway, this was as far as I went. Definitely need to revisit.

Nice series Jan - love the way the driveway on #3 is inviting you in to discover whats around the corner...........

Thanks John, I need to get out more and explore, I believe there are many lovely places quit e close. Only 15 minutes to McLaren Vale and that is full of wineries to0.

i know the wineries were a favorite of mum and das to visit when they were in Oz these look lovely Jan the photos tell a story

Hi Jan. Like Sharon said earlier Dave & I really enjoyed being up the Barossa valley. The wine tasting was brilliant, only one thing wrong, there wasn't very much in the glass. only enough to wet my back teeth Ha Ha. Maybe it was just as well, There's an awful lot of wineries up there !!!

There a lots down this way at McLaren Vale too Margaret, Bruce knows where they all are too. lol Just have to get time for a visit. Only about 8 kilometres. If that!
