A fellow I work with is an avid fly fisher, he makes fly rods and he had cancer several years ago.
So he got involved with a group called Casting for Recovery.
The group runs a guide service to raise money for cancer research and takes cancer victims on fishing excursions to help enrich their lives.
He volunteers as a fishing guide and, for the last couple of years has been making custom fly rods for the group to auction as a fund raiser.
He asked me to take pictures of this year's rod.

He was thrilled with the pics. The only down side was his comment,
"Your camera takes such great pictures. I got to get me a better camera!"
*sigh*

Super , clear series of pics to highlight a wonderful story. I know 'NOTHING' about fishing but can admire the detail shown in the fishing rods shown here.

Thanks for sharing it John - wonderful ~ regards, John

great cause, i hope the photos bring in some funds for them, well detailed shots of the rods Griz well done, i would have chosen a different background as the detail in the material is taking away from the rods, but that's just me Very Happy

I have to agree with you Sharron, but it was a last minute shoot and he brought the cloth to work with him.
He needed pictures that day and so we shot them on the picnic table out behind the building were I work.
Thanks for the input, I'll mention it to Gerry for the next shoot.
