I guess, by way of a critique, I would ask one question - is the focus here *exactly* where you wanted it? With a subject like this, we have the opportunity to get the shot 'spot on' - and for *my* purposes, I'm not sure it's quite there... the black edge of the first key SHOWS as very visibly sharp, and I figure you've aimed at getting B2 in focus, but because of the angle and the limited depth of field, it isn't quite there... I'd be looking for a little more aperture, so the DOF takes in more of that key you're concentrating us on - yes, a little of the others will appear sharper, too, but the overall effect will be to make the impact of ONE stronger than the others...

Cheers,
Stuart

Nope...focus wasn't where I wanted it...I wanted the B2. That was bothering me as well. My lens was not cooperating with what I was trying to accomplish. It kept focusing and re-focusing...and not stopping where I wanted it to. I think I'll try and reshoot...using more light and more aperture.

I like the shot...I just need to change the focus...

Thanks Stuart...I should never just settle out of frustration.

'k, two quick suggestions,

1. Use a lot more light to set up the shot, then set the focus to manual once it's locked in, or...

2. Put something nice and easy to lock onto onto the spot you want the focus - like a bright blue button... focus, then flip the lens over to manual focus...

It's one of the tricks that I use for water drops, which often confound people for focus... I let the tap drip, and put a white ruler with black marks on it where the drop is hitting... then I focus on it till it's pin sharp... lock the focus and remove it... from then, it's just down to timing the drops...

Cheers,
Stuart
