| We have a display going on tonight which is put on by our Town Council. 20 mins of fireworks then everyone disappears off home again. Doubt we will go, can see it from the lounge window. |

| Thanks Vanetta & Stewart, we will also be having another display tonight in Kilmarnock, not sure if we'll be going as Skye has developed a fear of the loud bangs they create and i think we need to stay home with her, as it will be especially bad tonight, this past fortnight has been torture for her, we can't even let her out for her doings between 6pm and midnight, there was even one night when they were letting them off at 2am | |

| thanks Kathy, John, Sharon & Griz, funny John i was doing that last night with the shots i took which gave me the idea to do the animation, i DID end up going out tonight, (Sandy stayed with Skye) but only down the road from my house where the local kids had built a bonfire and a few neighbours had got together to put on a display, i will process those shots tomorrow and maybe post a few. Sharon they take a bit of practice, i've gone to every display in the area over the last few years with not a lot of success but i think i'm getting there now, i still have a long way to go though to match some of the shots i've seen of fireworks, a definite is a tripod, a low f/stop and as high a shutter speed as you can manage in the dark, then it's just patience and timing | |
