| Thanks John. It was a fun day out, if very cold, and very long. I was also able to give the car a run too :-)
The Lens is the infamous 100-400 IS which is still challenging, great in good light (as per Typhoon shot) hard work with less light (as per Hawks and Tornado). I was there with Bill Bazza and Pete. Bill was using a whopping 400 f2.8 L which is huge but very fast and very sharp. Bazza was using Bills 100-400 and being the pro he is got some very good pictures. Pete was using a 300mm f4 L with the addition of a 1.4 TC when needed plus a 70-200 2.8 L again using the 1.4 TC both of which give very good results. But you pays your money and get somthing differant with each combination..
oh yes.. Hawks are the little black jets. Tornados are the swing wing big and niosey Typhoons are the delta wing grey ones hope that helps, I will be testing you in december....
Your education has been extended from flower recognition to include fast jets!!!

| Jono I am in awe of the shots you guys take of these planes. I was in the area a few years back and one flew over, so fast I didn't see it after taking the camera off my face when it was a speck of sunlight in the distance. So my friend I have some idea of how fast they travel.
I love the two sharp shots of the typhoons.. Brilliant. Tho they are all marvelous.
Kudos mate! |
