The second one is way sharper, Nice job, eh!

Composition is very good again on both of them.

#1 is a bit soft and overexposed.
#2 is better but still seems a little soft.

This may or may not work Kathy but it might be worth a go.

Duplicate the image.
Filters>Stylize>Find Edges.

Desaturate the duplicate then blend at 50% Opacity & 50% Fill in Colour Burn blending mode.

Might be worth a look in Linear Burn too.

You might have to play around a bit with Opacity/Fill to get it right.

This accentuates the edges of the image and gives it a sharper look.

Hmmmm.... Stewart are those commands in PS ? I still haven't done much with CS2 except open and play some

Kathy - I agree with John (Janika) & Stewart, but maybe in PSP XI try:

Adjust>Sharpen more - (once.)
Adjust> Brightness & Contrast >Clarify - (try level 5 to start)
