| Yes, it is. you might want to play with the brightness. It will probably blow out the bright spot but even at that it will be better. maybe Stewart can help you mask the bright spot and lighten the rest of the photo.

| I have been looking at it on a calibrated screen and it looks good to me. The whole point of a sunset is the sky, and it really stands out in this pic. |

| it looks very dark on mine, granted mine isn't "calibrated" I down loaded the image and increased the "fill light" (that's what the picasa editor calls it). It does blow out the bright spot but the rest of the picture looks better (in my opinion). I was wondering if there was a way to mask the bright spot in the clouds so it wouldn't increase the light in that area. maybe that technique Sharon used on the lily in reverse. | |

| exactly Griz, you just change the brush colour from white to black, but this would work just using the white brush on the dark areas and leaving the bright spot alone, i actually agree with Stewart though, some skys/sunsets are best like this and this one is no exception, i have a ton like this Sharon and i like them i only have one nit pick with this and i probably wouldn't have even noticed it on the original but the TV aerial is needing cloned out now that i see it | |

| Well - just caught up on this and seems I missed the debate - but for what its worth - I like the original - more atmosphere / more dramatic - but life would be so boring if we all agreed so I respect the view of others ~ John | |
