I want to get this one right, as I would like to give a copy to Dan (in picture)..

This is a fabulous shot Jono, one to be proud of and I'm sure Dan would love a copy.

What method did you use to change to b&w ?

If you could send me a copy of the original I will see what I can do and send back with instructions.

Also what program do you use, do you have photoshop or paintshop pro. I have both.

I used photo effects, blakc and white file, red filter , strength about 61.

Watching the F1 at the mo will send orignal file later.

Jono - I really like this but (hope you don't mind) I feel it needs a bit of a 'buzz' maybe.

So I tried using PSP XI> Adjust> Brightness & Contrast> Clarify> Setting 18. It's up to you but see what you think.

The composition is excellent Jono, it just needs some deep blacks and brighter whites in it to give it some oomph.

A Curves or Levels adjustment should do the trick.

my first thought was 'i want to see the colour version' but after reading Stewart & John's comments i realised it was just needing some contrast or curves adjustments the composition is spot on though
