| This one is nice and simple.
1x piece of cooked Gammon per two people, diced.
6x 1/2 inch cubes of cheese (your choice) per person.
A diced apple or two.
Self Raising Flour
Carbonated water.
Wooden Skewers
Hot Cooking oil (Rapeseed or Groundnut is best)
On each skewer place a piece of each of the Gammon, Cheese and Apple.
Mix the self raising flour and carbonated water to make a batter, not too thick.
Dip each of the loaded skewers into the batter then put into the hot oil
When the batter is a nice brown colour take out and place on a piece of kitchen towel for a few seconds to lose the excess oil.
Serve with a sauce of your choice and eat straight away.
Lemon Mayo and barbeque sauce are good.
Good starter food for a dinner party or while watching a movie. |

| Gammon ham ladies. :)
This is going to be a bit of a problem with these recipes, brand names and the like are going to get some of us confused. |

| Would love it, if I could just get Gammon in Australia... That, and Samphor are the two things I most seriously miss from the UK... |

It is the prime cut of bacon here in the UK. The only Canadian Bacon I have had is from Tesco and it was maple cured rashers, Mmmmmm. |

| You can also use the Gammon, Cheese and Apple in a sandwich.
It is good in Paninis too, nice hot with a cup of fresh coffee. 8) |
