The famous Ribblehead Viaduct and it's magnificent 24 Arches. Standing some 30m above the floor of the Pennines, it carries the Settle to Carlisle railway. Built between 1870-5 it runs for some 400m across the valley floor.

| A very nice landscape :) A viaduct ? I think they are called bridges here, and when it goes over water I think they are called tressels. In any case we sure don't have any that look like that. You posted a shot of a viaduct with a woman standing under, is it the same one or do all of them look like that ? Beautiful scenery and wonderful old structures by you, you are so lucky !! | |

| You did well Jono, I am going to show my ignorance here and ask what you mean by 'It carries the settle to Carlisle railway.' ?? Does this mean the train passes over this? |

| It sure does, I think they even use steam engines too. But not when I was there.

| You have done a very good job of showing the viaduct off Jono. The only minor niggle is the road creeping in on the lefthand side. I would crop the bottom off to just above it. |
