Jan is locked out!!

Hi guys - mum's asked me to post this up - she can't login!!

All she gets when she logs in is booted back to the login page??

Sharon has gone on holiday, I'll see what I can do.

I can't find any reason why Jan shouldn't be able to log in.

Can she try from another computer and see if that works?
If it does then it might be the new puter stopping her for some reason.

let me know how she gets on.

How about having her clear all of her cookies??? I was having trouble here with the background color.... it turned white, and anyway, cleared the cookies and back to normal.

Ummmm, new 'puter - new version of internet exploder??? I noticed it happening with a couple of forums when I trialled Vista... no Vista going on *any* of my 'puters... :(

Oh, yeah... once she's thrown back to the 'first' page, try a refresh... that can help - but it's a PITA in the long run...

Try an alternate browser - opera or firefox... if the forum works on that, but not on exploder, then you know what the problem is...

Jan had XP put on her new computer. So it's not a Vista Problem. Even though Vista is a problem. It's not Jan's Problem.

Thanks for all the help guys. I've had no internet since Saturday night - and have to wait until lunchtime at work to get back on here. As far as I know she's tried both IE and Firefox ....

Seems to only TIFF that she can't access. Everything else is alright.

At the moment HER ISP is down.

I have been booted back to the login page before when logging in, when I have inputted the info wrongly.
Usually lower case/capital mix up.
I take it Jan is inputting her name and password correctly with the right mix of capital and lower case letters?

On my way down there to check it out for her. I'll keep you posted.

Well - it's got me knackered. We're in - using IE7 (she said it didn't work before.)

Cleared all cached stuff and histories in FF and no joy still - in fact - it wouldn't even let ME in then.

Might have to have to google the problem .......

We tried an "incorrect" mix of username/password and got the invalid message. This was actually taking her from the portal page and kicking her to the home page?? Go figure.

OS has nothing to do with it, I use Vista Ultimate and IE7 + Firefox and never had an issue with any of those.
