Young Bald Eagle - new photo added!

My first shots in several months...I'll be going back tomorrow am - WITH the tripod! The eaglet is about 2 months old - will be flying any day now.

Thanks Jan...it's pretty hard NOT to be inspired with 2 full grown Bald Eagles & 3 eaglets so close! My new place is only about 5 minutes away, I've discovered!!!! I had a really good time today, talking with several photographers there - I felt like eagle poperotzy!! One guy, I've seen there before & he remembers me, too! Who knows?!! He even shoots with a 20D!

Here's mom & daughter...they didn't do much today at all - heading back tomorrow am, since we have a holiday.

Thanks! This is the 4th year they've nested there!!! I found out yesterday there are 18 Bald Eagle nests in this area! I'm glad this one is only about 5 minutes from my new home!!!!
I'm about to head out there again...hoping to see one of the "kids" fly for the first time!

Thanks Tracy - feels good to be back out! Spent the morning there again. Took over 400 shots - hope I got a couple of good ones, at least!!!
I was using the Sigma Bigma. Off to the showers - it's sweaty out there!
