| It is a large Australian native Bird, I have a pic somewhere that would show what he looks like. They live in the tropical rain forests in Northern Aust.
I didn't do anything Terri, just poked the lens between the rails. lol
Lots of kids there tho, you never know what had gone on before i got there.
Would have been a fantastic head shot if he hadn't charged. |

| Jeez Jan, you are lucky to have escaped that encounter with your camera and lens in tack. He really does look pissed at you. | |

| Well I wouldn't like to eat it Stewart but of course the aborigines may well have done so. They eat turtles and I couldn't come at that either. lol |

| Kathy this was taken at the Adelaide Zoo. lol They live in the rainforests in the Northern Territroy and North Queensland.
Not dry old Adelaide. Although we have had more rain in the last two weeks than we had all last winter. ( 3.5 inches) |

| Okay! I searched and found the photo from the last visit nearly 2 years ago. Also not a great pic. But gives a better idea of what the bird is like. He has legs about the same as the height o fhis body, with huge feet. He like the emu and the Ostrich is flightless. lol Maybe jsut as well. Cheers Jan |

| I was just lucky I got back out of it's way Terri, that great horn thing would have finished the lens off for sure.
Maybe that would have been nice lol I would love to come back and see more of the USA. I only had 3 days in San FC 3 in New York, it just whetted my appetite. We where on a tour with work, Bruce is the State Manager and I used to work with him. |
