How I nearly got expelled, now are you sitting comfortably?
It all happened when I was 15 years old, I was a few weeks from the 'O' Level examinations and when I arrived at school all the other kids in my class were standing outside the door to our form room.
They said it was locked and when I looked down the crack of the door I saw that it wasn't and gave it a big nudge with my shoulder and it opened.
It was just wedged becasuse of the damp weather.
Anyway I came back to school after lunch and again they were stood outside the class.
So I proceeded to do the same as I did in the morning and put some brute force into opening the wedged door.
Unfortunately for me it had been locked and I took the door off of its hinges and damaged the door frame.
A passing teacher, Mr.Gallyer (all 6ft 7inches of him), grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and dragged me off to the headmasters office to be dealt with.
I was duly ranted at by Mr.Morris (Muppet to the kids) and was told I was going to be expelled and made to pay for the door and frame.
Thankfully at that point my Form Tutor, Mr Lucas (great guy and a damn good laugh) came into the office and explained that I had done it accidently and how the door had been playing up and the Head let me off on the provisio that I helped Mr.Lucas repair the damage.
That was the best decision they could have made because Mr. Lucas was a woodwork teacher and we used the wood and tools from school stocks to do the work, well he did most of it I just entertained him, and then he said I might as well go home cos it was too late to go to last lesson.
So got 45 mins of the day off to.
Fell in S**t and came out smelling of Roses.
