A GREAT ONE FOR FEEDING THE MULTITUDES !

HUNGARIAN GOULASH

kg Onions
2 dessert spoons paprika
1 kg diced pork, veal or beef
1 cups water
2 Bay leaves
teaspoon carroway seed
Small amount of plain flour or other thickening

Fry onions, add paprika and diced meat and brown well. Add water, bay leaves, carroway seed and simmer for hour. Add a little more water if necessary. Remove the bay leaves before thickening and serve with boiled rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
