This lady was standing so still for quite a while (no camera, no chum - just absorbing the power and beauty of the Falls.) Her stillness caught my eye, and naturally I had to break it long enough to ask why. It turned out that she lives in Kent, and works in Canterbury. She said that her limo would be there in six minutes - and she was using the time to take in one more moment.

Thanks, Jan. Having that conversation still feels as warming as if we had shared a cuppa.

Yes, it's just up River from the Table Rock Building - where the walkway curves. And believe it or not, I actually hesitated before interrupting her thoughts! lolllllll

J - if you want to see a couple of shots from 2 years ago of the same spot - looking through the ice onto the edge of the Falls, see my Blue Winter album at Zo. Those magical trees were missing this time.

Have you been in Winter? If any of you Canadians head that way for picture shooting this year, let me know if you want to tramp together around for a few hours. I'd like to try to see how well I can handle the 10 hours of driving plus 4 -5 for shooting. Of course, gas costs and a car that's older and high on mileage needs to be considered. Kat

Such a simple question - and such a long answer. So what else is new???!!! lollllll

Hi, I have been there a few years ago to visit a friend who moved there. First we drove to this spot and then a few days later he took us again in a Cessna 152. We spen a great two weeks in Canada. Waterloo I think it was.

Cool. But, I guess you won't be driving over to meet me, and the other Can/AM members any time soon? lolllllllllllll Btw, one of the best dates I ever had was when one of the guys flew me to NF for brunch in his Cherokee. Unbelievable view of the Falls, eh?
