What a wonderful idea.................
But........
1) Not sure the brass (gold) is powerful enough to make it as dramatic as I would prefer.
2) the sailors right shoulder look disproportionate to the rest of his body
3) I note a line from top to near bottom in the centre - what is that??
4) The border / frame is more shallow at the top and bottom than the sides leaving the effect a tad out of balance.

No bull - this has so much potential I hope you take the C&C with the intention written
John

I tried saturating the colour more but it looked a little gaudy, not something to do to a memorial image.
The sailors left shoulder was in shadow and yes it has given it a slight disproportionate look to the right one.
The line is the join in the slabs that make up the plaques.

As for the border it should have been 1" all round as that is what I added to the image!!

I will be working on this again and thanks for your input John, these sort of comments help to get them right. Very Happy

A quick rework.
I have made the shoulder less conspicuous and redone the wording so that it isn't so fussy.

Vast improvement Stewart - the shoulder is spot on - it however leaves a blank area where the excess once was i.e the top left is almost lifeless black compared to the rest of the creation.
OK?

John

I am toying with the idea of blending in the Union Jack up in that space John.

I just couldn't be arsed to start up the external HD and work on it at this time.

Will try it later and post the next instalment. Very Happy

No I haven't John, I bought a Bare Bomes computer so Encarta not part of the purchase.

I might go down to the docks later in the week and see what I can find to add to it. Very Happy
